Thanks for making the effort to put all this information together. I was not active in the sub when this stuff started happening and when I checked in yesterday I was so confused. Now I feel like I'm up to speed. And I agree with your reasons why this is important to document.
I am withholding judgment until I see what the current mods have to say. But I have a deep aversion to treating anyone, much less a founder of the group in the ways I've seen, without justification. I saw that he identifies as neurodivergent, so I feel concerned for his well-being. And regardless, he deserves acknowledgement for what he initiated. I'm so frustrated because I was just about ready to offer to volunteer in some way. It's been hard for me to find an organizational home. Now I fear I will have to look around again.
I'm most interested in uncovering the truth behind what's going on, so if you have a different interpretation of the evidence I posted or have additional evidence, I'm genuinely very interested to hear more.
There has been a lot more chaos since I last commented. I don't know who to believe anymore. You can see several comments under a yesterday's post sharing 50501 Veterans’ official statement on r/50501movement.
I think we should ignore national and focus on their local state chapters
With the recent letter published by 50501 Veterans, there is too much going on to rally understand. Based on their letter, it seems the new mods might not be who they seem 🤷♀️
I think bad actors have purposefully splintered the reddit group. The good thing 50501 is decentralized and local chapters are active in their states. My take: Focus on your local chapter and ignore the drama

Thanks for your comment. Have you checked Mobilize.us for what groups are doing stuff in your area?
This is a very different take then what I felt watching this mess go down. I feel like you might be blaming the wrong side

I also would like to hear your take. It would be helpful for me to hear differing perspectives.
